Cocktails with Crème de Menthe green
Crème de menthe green is a sweet, mint-flavored liqueur dyed bright green. The same product is also sold colorless as "white".

White crème de menthe
Use one for one: it tastes essentially the same. Only the green color is lost, but a drop of food coloring brings it back.
Homemade mint liqueur
Mix equal parts vodka and green mint syrup. It comes out close to the liqueur in strength and sugar.
Peppermint schnapps
Usually stronger and less sweet. For every 20 ml of crème de menthe, use 15 ml of schnapps plus a barspoon of 2:1 syrup.

- Nothing to do with cream. EU rules set a minimum of 250 grams of sugar per liter for anything sold as crème de, and it is that sugar, not dairy, that gives the syrupy weight.
Storage
The mint itself keeps indefinitely; the green does not. The color is added, and daylight will pull it toward yellow over a season on a sunny back bar. Store it out of the light if the drink depends on the color, which with this bottle it usually does.
