Sour apple liqueur
DeKuyper Sour Apple Pucker or Sourz Apple pour straight in, though the result will be tarter.
Apfelkorn
A German grain spirit mixed with apple juice. It tastes less candied.
Dry and strong, so the shot becomes much punchier and loses its sweetness. Pour less and add sugar syrup to taste.
Description
The apple taste often comes from an essence rather than from fruit. The word comes from German Schnaps, any strong, dry spirit; the sweet, liqueur sense is British and American.
Storage
Keep it closed, cool and dark. As it ages, the apple fades and only the sweetness is left.
