Melon flavor and a color nothing else has, at about 20%. A syrup with neutral spirit in equal parts hits the strength and the sweetness, and the green is a decision: a drop of coloring or a drink that is honestly pale.
Often confused with
Honeydew or non-melon green liqueurs
Honeydew and other non-green melon liqueurs taste of melon just as clearly — the green here is dye, not variety, since the classic base is musk melon and Yubari, both orange-fleshed. Swap one in and the flavor holds while the drink loses its signature color.
Storage
The color is a dye and daylight will take it: a bottle left on a bright back bar drifts from bright green toward yellow-brown over a season. The melon aroma fades on much the same schedule. Keep it in the well or a cupboard, not on display.
