Cocktails with Honey herbal liqueur (e.g., Drambuie)
Honey herbal liqueur is a Scottish liqueur of aged Scotch whisky, heather honey and a proprietary blend of herbs and spices. Unlike most liqueurs it holds full spirit strength at 40% ABV.

How it's used
It sweetens without watering the drink down: the honey and herbs come at full spirit strength. That is why a Rusty Nail needs nothing but Scotch alongside it.
Substitutes for Honey herbal liqueur (e.g., Drambuie)
Glayva
The closest bottle, one for one. The drink gets less herbal and leans toward tangerine.
Swaps one for one. It has none of the herbal side, so add a barspoon of Bénédictine per 30 ml.
Has half the sugar. Along with the Bénédictine, add about a barspoon of 2:1 syrup per 30 ml.
Homemade Scotch and honey mix
Warm one part honey and stir it into three parts blended Scotch. The drink comes out a little softer, and the herbs still need a barspoon of Bénédictine per 30 ml.
