Homemade passion fruit liqueur
Mix two parts vodka, one part passion fruit syrup and two parts water. It matches the strength and sugar, but turns the drink yellow-orange. A drop of red food coloring fixes that.
Sugar and strength vary widely. With a very sweet one, such as Giffard, the drink needs less syrup.
Storage
The color is added and fades in light, so keep the bottle out of the sun. The passion fruit note fades slowly once open, as in any fruit liqueur.
