Plain vodka with watermelon
For every 40 ml of vodka, muddle about 60 g of fresh watermelon. Fine-strain the finished mix. The fruit adds a bit of sugar and water.
It is much sweeter and weaker than vodka. For every 40 ml of watermelon vodka, use 30 ml of plain vodka and 10 ml of liqueur to balance strength and flavor.
Storage
Watermelon flavor is fragile and fades with time and air. An open bottle holds up for a few months, then loses most of its fruit.
