The Spritz is a low-ABV aperitivo built right in the glass — a bitter or aromatic liqueur lengthened with sparkling wine and a splash of soda over ice. Light, bubbly and citrus-bright, it runs from the orange-bitter Aperol Spritz to the elderflower Hugo Spritz, and takes just as well to Campari, Select or Cynar in place of the Aperol. A simple orange slice or sprig of mint is all the garnish it needs.
