Substitutes for Grenadine syrup
Pomegranate syrup or molasses preserves the pomegranate aroma and red colour but is typically tarter and less sweet, so sweetness may need rebalancing; raspberry syrup covers the sweetness, body and red colour but swaps in a raspberry note. A plain sugar syrup matches only the sweetness, not the fruit character.
