Tips

Crème de cacao makes the drink heavier, so shake hard with plenty of ice for a full 12-15 seconds to get it cold and diluted.
Squeeze the lime juice fresh just before shaking.

History

The Ace of Clubs Daiquiri is a twist on the Daiquiri often said to have been created in the 1930s at a Bermuda nightclub called the Ace of Clubs. It adds white crème de cacao to the rum, lime, and sugar for a chocolate-tinged depth.
