The Caipirinha is Brazil's national cocktail of cachaça, fresh lime, and sugar, muddled in the glass and served over crushed ice.

Instructions for 1 serving
- Pre-chill a glass
- Cut Fresh lime into small wedges, place them in a double old fashioned glass and add Sugar cube 4 pcs
- Muddle gently
- Fill the glass with crushed ice and add Cachaça 60 ml
- Stir gently to combine
Tips
- Muddle the lime with the four sugar cubes gently, just enough to release juice and peel oil; press the peel, don't pulverize it.
- Give it a gentle stir before serving to dissolve the last of the sugar; left alone, it sinks and stays gritty.
History
Caipirinha – IBA is the International Bartenders Association's official codification of the Caipirinha, Brazil's national cocktail. It standardizes the traditional muddled cachaça, lime, and sugar drink, served in a double old-fashioned glass, as one of the IBA's Contemporary Classics.
