Substitutes for Bénédictine D.O.M. liqueur
Everything near it is either drier or more honeyed, so plan to correct the sweetening rather than to match it. Where Bénédictine is the whole point of the drink — a Vieux Carré, a Singapore Sling — no bottle stands in.

Often confused with
B&B
Bénédictine pre-blended with cognac, about 60/40. It is drier, so it stands in for Bénédictine measure for measure; the other direction works less well — Bénédictine in place of B&B makes the drink noticeably sweeter and thicker.
Yellow Chartreuse
A different monastic herbal liqueur, sweeter and more floral, with honey in its own right; it is the usual bar substitute when the recipe wants complexity and not that particular honey.
Drambuie
A Scotch-whisky liqueur sweetened with heather honey, so it covers the honey side and lets it lead, and it suits a whisky drink and overwhelms a delicate one.
