- Pour the first 3 ingredients into the glass: Lime juice 10 mlGinger beer 25 mlGinger liqueur 10 ml
- Then carefully float Dark rum 15 ml on the surface of the drink
Tips
- Chill the ginger beer and ginger liqueur beforehand since cold liquids are denser and layer more cleanly in the small shot glass format.

History
The Dark 'N' Stormy Shot is a miniature take on the Dark 'n' Stormy, the Bermudian rum-and-ginger-beer highball that Gosling Brothers says it invented just after World War I. This version condenses that pairing into a layered single-serving shot, adding fresh lime juice and ginger liqueur to the traditional rum and ginger beer.
